Cracking the riddle of the Republic of Inversion, 3rd Republic under Hassan Sh. Mohamud, requires understanding the nature, configuration and modus operandi of the Three Biscuiteers: The Prosperity President (PP), Hassan Sh. Mohamud. The Prime Minister (PM), Farah Abdikadir. And the Prime Mamluk, Hamza A. Barre. The loyalty, camaraderie, and deep connection among the trio - although asymmetrical - is remarkably resilient and superbly efficient. 

HE Hassan Mohamud is seen by many Somalis as a good President. He comes across as a good man, and for many, a fatherly figure. He always flushes his signature smile, which earned him the nick-name "Qoslaaye" the laughing one. He is charismatic, photogenic, shrewd, and has done well in terms of what he has achieved. Words and slogans come to him effortlessly, and deploys them with great ease. 

However, behind the smile lurks a darker side. For the President of Somalia corruption is the engine that propels one to power, wealth and fame. Corruption is the organizing idea that trumps all other things. President Mohamud sees the world through the prism of corruption. According to the President of Somalia's worldview, every politician is driven by a primordial and uncontrollable impulse to corrupt. Corruption and power are natural allies. Corruption oils and underpins power. More corruption magnifies and multiplies power exponentially. More power expands and enhances the opportunities for more corruption, which in turn brings more power. Corruption is in the DNA of the 8th and 10th President of Somalia, and the giant of the 3rd Republic. 

The culture of corruption is so woven into the psyche of President Mohamud and into his ways of behaving and conducting business. During his first term in office 2012-2016, corruption had become the defining feature of his administration, and the main legacy he left behind. More than three years into second term, corruption has come back with a bang. 

The President has come well prepared in his second term. He has organized and installed the dream team: the Prosperity President (PP), the Prime Minister (PM) and the Prime Mamluk (PM).  The trio has to turned the flawed architecture and fragile structures of the 3rd Republic into a cottage industry tailor made for perversion, profiteering and plunder on industrial scale and with impunity.

Cracking the riddle of the Republic of Inversion requires understanding the nature, configuration and modus operandi of the Three Biscuiteers: PP, PM and PM. An understanding based on inversion and anagram. It all began with a simple anagram: DAM into MAD. And SI in the front. A small theft grows into MAD Syndicate which attempts to swallow a whole country. And it’s called birMAD. 

The tradition continues until it no longer can, and self-destructs.
